April showers couldn’t stop us from hosting 7 distributions serving 10,577 individuals with groceries. This work was made possible this month by groups from Our Lady Star of the Sea, Tulane Public Health Club, Willow School National Honor Society, Jesuit High School, LSU HSC School of Nursing, and Tulane AKPSI. We celebrated our partnership with The Footprint Project on Earth Day, and recognized those who make our service possible each week during National Volunteer Month.

April was National Volunteer Month, culminating in National Volunteer Week last week 4/21-4/27. We were able to celebrate by highlighting some of our awesome volunteers on social media, and by having a small potluck on April 25th. One month simply isn't enough time to recognize the dedication of the folks who make our work possible each week!

Starting this month we're collecting and sharing recipes from our supporters and guests to share how they love to eat the fresh, healthy foods we serve each week. Cookbooks will be available to order in time for the holidays for you to share with your friends and family and support Culture Aid NOLA!
Four former CAN interns from Tulane University have been named Top 40 Leaders in Service. If you've spent time with Sam, Lucy, Andy or Joy on site you know how deserved this title is.
